Book looks great but it’s for trails South of I70. Misleading title. I realized there is another book specific to trails north of I70. I discovered this after opening to the page I attached in the photo. Time to return and buy the other one. I had bought the 1st edition and it helped me get over a few moderately rated passes in my Ford Explorer. I wouldn't have dared go over a difficult rated road. Now I have a Jeep GC Trailhawk and I still wouldn't go over difficult rated road unless I belonged to a 4x4 club. I know I'm going to get a lot of criticism, but I travel alone: I can go where I want, when I want and say however I want. I try to be as prepared and careful as I can. Anyway, I love the updates in this 4th edition, especially for the trails I'd already been over. Example: Tincup Pass. First time I went over was after it snowed. There were difficult spots, but the spaces between the rocks were filled with snow, so the Explorer did fine in low gear. The second time a year later it was dry and we had a bumpy ride over those same rocks. The pass was rated moderate at that time, that's why I gave it a go, now it's rated difficult because of time, weathering, use. I may still try it in the GC. I have books on Colorado mining and ghost towns, I've been to several. I can reference this book against those for trails. And he adds some history, too. It's a great book, great photos of the trails, and that's my GC on the introduction page. Being a native Coloradoan, I can follow the maps fairly easily, and I love it being spiral bound. He has books on California and Arizona, too that I'll be adding to my library..
